Bogotá, Colombia
New York Bistro is a restaurant inspired by the classic New York dining scene, located in the vibrant Parque de la 93 area of Bogotá. It offers American cuisine with a sophisticated touch.
New York Bistro is a truly outstanding restaurant. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by an exceptional waiter—attentive, friendly, funny, and providing a level of service that is increasingly difficult to find nowadays, even in high-end restaurants like this one.
We visited to celebrate Father's Day, and everyone was pleasantly surprised by the experience. I loved it, but my father enjoyed it even more, which made the occasion especially memorable. We ordered the skirt steak, the New York Steak, and the octopus, and every dish was absolutely delicious.
That said, I do feel that the prices are somewhat excessive for the level of food being offered. In my opinion, it is definitely a restaurant worth visiting at least once, but honestly, because of the cost, I find it hard to imagine myself returning regularly. There are many less expensive restaurants that offer food of equal or even better quality, and that affects the overall value proposition.
The restaurant also features live music on certain days, which creates a wonderful atmosphere. The venue itself is beautiful and full of character. As an architect, I noticed a few minor maintenance issues, such as some worn flooring panels and areas where the paint has seen better days. However, these are details that most guests would probably never notice; it's more of a professional observation than a significant criticism.
Lastly, I would highly recommend this restaurant to meat lovers. The quality of the cuts is excellent, and as far as I understand, some of the beef is imported from the United States.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience, with outstanding service, a beautiful atmosphere, and excellent food, although the value for money could be more competitive.
